A unique and showy shrub that brings months of beautiful foliage to the garden.
This hardy and deciduous shrub particularly draws the eye in autumn, when a fiery red shade of rosy-crimson takes over the foliage, even inspiring the common name of the ‘Burning Bush’.
Dark green oval leaves coat the plant through spring and summer, joined by dainty, pale green flowers in spring, as well as purple-red fruits in autumn. Even the stems of this bush are worth examining closely, as corky wings can stretch along the branchlets.
A true garden delight – the fruits split to unveil orange seeds, a colour which is particularly attractive to birds with their wings transforming your garden into a moving picture of nature.
For best impact, plant this shrub as a specimen plant, use it as a structural divide along the edge of borders or pathways, or to introduce sought-after screening into your garden.
Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready for planting.
Please note, the fruits of Euonymus alatus can be harmful if eaten, do not consume.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.
Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.
