Our Floating Pond Raft is a quick and easy way to grow and display a selection of beautiful marginal pond plants and provides a unique approach to spruce up and enhance ponds and water features.
We include everything that you need to add colour, interest and height to your pond. A complete pond plant growing kit, all you need to do is add soil into the planter, add the plants, cover with gravel and hey presto, floating raft!
A quick and easy way to grow your pond plants, the raft prevents the plants being uprooted or eaten and they'll grow more rapidly. When fully established, the planter provides shade and shelter for fish and other aquatic wildlife.
Additionally, the plants will help reduce the occurrence of blooms of algae, supressing blanket weed and other pond nasties, while at the same time improving the oxygen content.
The kit includes three popular marginal plants, along with a square floating planter, pond soil and pond gravel.
The selection of pond plants has colourful flowers and decorative leaves from early spring through early autumn, and the three different varieties grown together provide maximum effect. Includes*:

Top Tips
Over winter, trim back plants and store the raft in a frost-free place with some daylight. A shed or garage with a window is ideal.
Care Information
Growing instructions:
- Fill the included basket with the aquatic potting soil; leave at least 1/2 in. of space between the soil level and the rim of the planter.
- Plant the 3 marginal plants with their crowns about 2.5cm (1in) below the surface of the soil.
- Add the gravel.
- Slowly submerge the basket into the pond, allowing time for the soil to absorb water.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. Pre-ordered items will be sent as soon as possible after the date quoted and we'll generally ship your entire order with your pre-ordered items. When your order is dispatched, we'll send you another email with details of how to track it.
Most orders are sent on a fully-tracked courier service with Yodel. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, no signature is required, and our courier is asked to leave your order in a safe place on your property.
We'll send a tracking link when we dispatch your order, so you know when its due to arrive. Please note, once delivered we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft from your property. If you have any specific delivery instructions, please let us know - there's an option to enter a short message for the courier at the checkout.
Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.
Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.
Please note, we cannot guarantee delivery on a certain day or time. Delivery to outlying postcode areas may take 1-2 days longer, dependent on your location.
