The colour is really intense and unusual, especially so early in the year, and being evergreen, boasts year-round interest. The red shade holds firm across spring and summer, before evolving to dark green towards the end of the year.

'Red Robin' is often grown either as an ornamental shrub or a fast-growing, dense hedge. Clusters of small white flowers emerge in spring, sometimes followed by red fruit on this well-established 'Red Robin', which already stands at least 2m tall on arrival - ready to impress right away!
