Description

A marvel for the senses in aroma, taste, and texture on the tastebuds. 'Pink Caviar Lime' are truly unique in the world of limes, so try growing something new in your garden!

Juicy pearls can be found inside each piece of ripe fruit, which transform from dark green to pink as an indication they are ready to pick.

This is an evergreen tree with thorny ovate foliage and dainty white spring to summer flowers, followed by the headline fruit in late autumn. Slice open a piece of fruit fresh from the tree to see the pearls, which �pop� in the mouth - simply delicious, with a flavour likened to lime and grapefruit.

What�s more, this 'Pink Caviar Lime' tree is self-fertile, so does not need to be planted near another variety for pollination. Gather enough fruit to transform in the kitchen, whether creating sweet desserts or preserves such as jams and marmalades.

This variety will thrive outside in conditions down to -5C. Keep it outside through much of the year before moving inside for winter protection.

Care Information

Citrus tend not to thrive in centrally heated homes, so make sure this spends mid-June to late September outside to make the most of the available sunshine - but remember they are not frost tolerant so will need bringing under cover if cold nights threaten.
In summer, water freely - ideally with rainwater, while in winter you can reduce the amount - allowing the surface to partially dry out before watering again.
Always allow excess water to drain away as overwatering in winter is one of the most common problems, so err on the dry side.
Only minimal pruning is required to reshape or remove dead or damaged shoots.
