There’s something truly special about growing your own citrus, and this 'Bergamotto' Tree is no exception. This variety delivers a touch of the Mediterranean right to your garden or patio, offering fragrant blossoms, glossy evergreen foliage, and unique, aromatic fruit.
From early spring, this tree bursts into bloom with delicate white flowers, filling the air with a sweet, citrus scent. These highly fragrant blossoms are not only a treat for the senses but also attract pollinators, making your garden a lively, buzzing haven.
Then comes the real magic - its unique fruit. 'Bergamotto' Orange produces round, slightly textured citrus fruits, famously used in Earl Grey tea and perfumes. The skin is rich in aromatic oils, while the juice offers a distinctive tart flavour, perfect for homemade preserves, marinades, and refreshing drinks.
Despite its exotic origins, this tree is surprisingly easy to grow - it thrives in pots, making it an excellent choice for patios, balconies, or even conservatories. While it loves basking in the sun, it can be moved indoors during colder months to keep it protected from frost.
Supplied as an established 70-90cm tall plant in a 4 litre pot, it’s ready to plant and start transforming your outdoor space.
We recommend using our Soluble Citrus Fertiliser to ensure your trees grow into big, healthy specimens and, most importantly, bear lots of juicy fruit!
For best results, bring indoors to cool area for winter.
Feed with specialist feed every month in spring and summer growth - they are hungry fellows.
